TWO RIVERS AREA GREENWAY PLAN
A large effort of the Bushkill Stream Conservancy in 2003-2004 was the development of the Two Rivers Area Greenway Plan, commissioned by the Two Rivers Council of Governments. The plan was written by Urban Research and Development Corporation under the guidance of a steering committee of BSC board members, and serves as a blueprint for future conservation and recreation projects in the watershed.
Links to the text and Map 16 (overview map) are given below. The entire set of maps is prohibitively large to provide on-line.
The greenway plan will be implemented by BSC and the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor working with Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center of DCNR, the Northampton County Conservation District, and local municipalities. As of fall 2005, the plan has been adopted by Bushkill, Forks, Palmer, Plainfield, and Williams townships, the City of Easton, and Wilson Borough.
