The Bushkill Stream Conservancy is an all-volunteer public-private partnership advancing the conservation and enhancement of the Bushkill Creek watershed. The Conservancy sponsors programs of education, public outreach, recreation, environmental research, streamside restoration, and historical documentation.

The Conservancy is entirely organized and staffed by volunteers. We are always looking for people who are passionate about their local stream and want to get involved. There are many different ways to participate, including:

 • Monthly water testing. Most water testers collect data on their local stream site once a month. This typically requires less than 2 hours a month and is flexible to schedule. No previous experience is necessary; all training and supplies are provided.
 • Staffing local educational and outreach events. We have table presence at 3 or 4 local events per year that are geared toward environment-related education and conservation (eg, Earth Day events, annual festivals). No previous experience is necessary.
 • Participation in streamside buffer-zone planting events, removal of invasive weed species, and tree tube maintenance.
 • Assistance with grant writing.
 • Board membership. The board meets monthly to discuss upcoming projects, recent events, and general stream care. Board members are asked to attend at least four meetings per year, at 7pm on the fourth Monday of the month (December is via Zoom), in the Tatamy Municipal Building.
